The photos below show the board presentations on a 5'x4' board. This includes the concept board, which has the project brief, goals and objectives, site analysis, design concept, form evolution and synthesis, design philosophy, design consideration, and the aerial perspective of the project. The boards also include the site development plan, and the interior and the exterior perspectives for each proposed building.

The photo below shows the Site Development Plan for the project. This was at a scale of 1:200 in an A0 sized sheet. Feel free to click the photo as it magnifies into the details.

The photos below show the exterior perspectives on the site. These include Aerial Perspectives of the whole site, vehicle and pedestrian entry to the site, the Green Lawn/Park area, and the KIA signage at the center of the site.

To see more information of the thesis proposal, the following sections show the architectural details for each building.

A. PROPOSED NEW PASSENGER TERMINAL BUILDING

The proposed passenger terminal building (PTB) of Kalibo International Airport (KIA) is located across the runway, on the other side of the site. The design was inspired by the famous waves of the beaches in Aklan and represents Aklan itself as it is known as the "Mother of Philippine Festivals".

To see more details, the plans and interior perspectives for the building is shown below.

B. KALIBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT'S AIR CARGO FACILITY (KIA-ACF)

The proposed Kalibo International Airport's Air Cargo Facility was previously used or the existing PTB of the airport as of the moment. The building was turned into an air cargo as the location of the building itself separates the traffic for air cargo and the tourist traffic from the PTB.

To see more details, the plans and 3D perspectives for the building is shown below.

C. ADMINITRATIVE BUILDING

The KIA Administrative Building’s design was also inspired by the concept of Piña fiber. The color scheme used in this building is similar to the existing Air Traffic Control Tower as the tower and the Administrative building need to be close to each other as the employees would also use the building simultaneously.

To see more details, the plans and 3D perspectives for the building is shown below.

D. AIRCRAFT RESCUE AND FIREFIGHTING FACILITY

The proposed Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Facility is a two-story building that needs to optimize response to the airport emergency. Its spaces are designed and planned to accommodate diverse functions such as housing, recreation, administration, training, equipment, and vehicle storage and maintenance.

To see more details, the plans and 3D perspectives for the building is shown below.

The fuel facility is a one-story building that caters to three tanks of fuel with a capacity of 40,000 liters per tank. There are five units of fuel truck available in the Fuel Facility. One unit of fuel truck has a capacity of 12,000 liters, another one unit of fuel truck with 25,000 liters capacity, and three units of fuel truck with a capacity of 18,000 liters per truck. The Ground Floor Plan, elevations, and sections are shown on the sheet below which gives further details to height and other details of the building.

E. FUEL FACILITY

The proposed KIA Fuel Facility is located 450 meters away from the airport's PTB and 120 meters away from the nearby facilities to avoid starting a fire as the facility may be a danger to the people who may use and go to the airport. The site uses a 6-meter high perimeter wall to make the area private from the eyes of the public.
